Manukan Island

Went to Manukan Island on 25th July with Mom & Sisters (Jayne & Nana) for an easy get-away day trip from the hustle and bustle of KK (Read: AVOID Manukan Island on weekends *Heh*).

Departed from Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal around 12.30pm by boat and the journey took merely 15 - 20 minutes. We paid RM17.00 per person to and fro Manukan plus RM6.00 per person for compulsory tariff fee at the ferry terminal before departing.

Splash! Splash!

Fishes underneath the jetty say "Hi!"

White sandy beach + crystal clear water = Manukan Island

Miniature version of Kota Kinabalu city can be seen from here ;)

We registered at the counter and paid RM3.00 per person for conservation fee. The fee is valid for one day and you can re-use it for other islands if you're on island hopping package (choice of 1, 2, 3, 4 islands)

One of some attractions on the island - Remnants of World War II. Torpedo shells???

Butterflies caught on camera ;)

Manukan is highly recommended for snorkeling. Snorkeling equipments? No worries, these equipments can be rented at one of the shop in the island. Affordable price I might say. Snorkel + mask rental: RM10 (deposit RM40). Anyway, I found Nemo :)

So guys, whenever you're in Kota Kinabalu for your vacation, please include Manukan Island in your list :)
