On Time Guarantee Compensation

I never aware that AirAsia has On Time Guarantee (for flight delays exceeding 2 hours) before, until I received a super duper pleasant surprise in my email inbox. Teehehehehe...

And the story goes...

I went back to my hometown (Sarikei) last month for no specific reason. I chose an AirAsia flight which flew out from Kota Kinabalu to Sibu on 9th August 2009 (evening). The "best" part began when I was at the check-in counter at KKIA Terminal 2. The check-in assistant told me that the boarding time has been re-timed to 4.00 p.m (almost 3 hours delayed) due to the late arrival of the incoming flight. @#$%^&*!!!

And when I returned from Sibu to KK on the 21st of August, the flight delayed again (by 4 hours)! I thought that I must be a very "lucky" passanger to have 2 delayed flights in a row. But this time, I was alerted by AirAsia via the mobile phone that the flight delayed. Wohooo, luckily I was still at home, so I can have another few hours to spend with my family before we went to the Sibu Airport (1 hour car ride from Sarikei).

From a bad start to a good ending

I was about to offline for tonight, when I decided to check my "official" email and taaddaaaa my eyes attracted to an email from AirAsia. With much curiosity I opened the email with the subject AirAsia: Retrieve Your *OTG E-Gift Voucher.

I followed the instructions and moments later I received another email with a claim code for a voucher to the value of RM200 to be used to purchase Airasia's flights, product and online services.

Hmmph, I should start planning now for my next trip as the voucher only valid for 3 months from the date of issue. Miri? Sandakan? Kuching? Sibu? Let me do the thinking first hahaha...

Eh anyway, good job AirAsia !
